Spring Break and Easter

Alexander had the week before Easter off for spring break.  We spent time doing crafts, playing Lego, making the boys clean bathrooms, playing outside, etc.  We went the to the New Orleans Zoo on possibly the busiest day ever.  The boys had to earn the trip by helping around the house (hence the bathroom cleaning).  We colored eggs and Benjamin would dye one then say he wanted to kill it and would smash it.  It took a minute to figure out that is what he thought “dying” eggs meant.  Easter Sunday the boys followed the Bunny’s trail to find their baskets then followed directions to find their remote control cars. It is fun having a reader now who can follow directions.  Between church Easter parties, school egg hunts and school parties the kids had more than enough candy.  Easter morning I got out of the shower to hear Benjamin tell me that he threw Isaac’s chocolate bunny away because it was sticky.  This was strange since when I got in the shower it was still in the package.  Benjamin had decided to give his baby brother his chocolate bunny in his crib when he woke up from his nap and Isaac and his crib were covered in chocolate.  Isaac thought it was a great way to wake up from a nap.
