Applying Kindergarten Life to Home Life

Alexander has discovered a LOVE of writing.  He is constantly writing and drawing illustrations.  He writes books that are “by” him, which means he wrote and illustrated them—just ask him.  I love to see how fast he is learning and how much he enjoys it.  I just need a bigger refrigerator for all his papers.

At school they have a tattle-tale football.  If someone does something they shouldn’t (and it doesn’t draw blood or anything like that) the kids are supposed to tattle to the football by writing down the misdeed they saw on a piece of paper.  Alexander took it upon himself to write down all of Benjamin’s misdeeds during naptime yesterday and give me the paper.

At school they also have footballs that mark their behavior.  If they are bad they have to move their football.  Alexander has made little popsicle sticks with his, Benjamin and Isaac’s names on them and colored baggies with the different colors they have at school and moves the sticks as he sees fit throughout the day.  Saturday Isaac got moved to the worst bag for pooping all over me.  I guess that is fair.

Benjamin is still loving school too.  He is so proud of all the things he makes and so excited to give them to me.

Isaac is growing like a weed.  He is losing his hair so the mullet is going to have to be cut soon.  He is the happiest baby.  He is always smiling and blowing spit bubbles.  He sleeps 10-11 hours every night.  He is going to have red hair I think and Kyle’s blue eyes.
