We are finally starting to experience the weather that makes Montgomery wonderful. One of the first nice days was a couple Saturdays ago. We we able to start our Easter celebrations and go to the Air Show. The fighter jets were deafening and Benjamin wasn’t a huge fan, but the parachuters and smaller planes were enjoyed by the whole family.
Easter started with a church Easter party. The kids hunted for eggs. Benjamin discovered the candy after his first egg dropped and fell open. After that he would grab an egg, open it and run away from me eating candy. Alexander was very picky about the eggs he collected. There didn’t seem to be a particular pattern though to his choosing.
Benjamin was dancing to the hot potato music.
There was a school Easter party as well.’
We dyed eggs for family home evening. Alexander was pretty good at it. Benjamin liked throwing the eggs in the dye.
We spent Easter weekend in Huntsville. Kyle and I got to go on a date to Melting Pot—it was delicious. Next time we are skipping the entree and eating more dessert though. That was awesome. I am thinking of adding fondue to our regular dinner menu—the fruit is good for you right?
The Easter Bunny hopped all over the Paries’ house making the baskets harder to find.
This was the first year we have dealt with fear of a holiday mascot. Benjamin wanted nothing to do with that giant bunny.
Alexander also started soccer. The first couple games he was pretty timid, but he got right in the mix of it last night and kicked the ball a couple times.
We had pictures taken last week of the boys, which we haven’t done in a long while. We have pretty cute kids if I do say so myself.
It seems like spring comes and life goes in fast forward. We are enjoying the apartment and looking forward to using the pool.
(The apartment pictures are for wrong way Grandma)
Well my time is up, Alexander and his science experiments from the Easter Bunny are calling.
