Huntsville in the Fall
Not much can compare with Montgomery in the spring when the azaleas are in bloom, but the fall leaves in Huntsville are pretty tough competition. I really wanted to take some pictures of the boys in the fall leaves and since we haven't had anything else to do this week, while escaping our kitchen mess, we took off on an adventure to do so this morning. South Huntsville has a little hidden treasure called Green Mountain Park. It is a 17 acre lake surrounded by trees. It is beautiful. Especially in the fall. The maples here look like they are on fire with yellow, orange and red leaves. It is breathtaking. (I will take some pictures of just a few trees and post them later.) The boys had fun walking around the lake and feeding the geese. Benjamin kept yelling at them as they tried to steal his cookie. Alexander started a new sport of leafing--instead of fishing. It was a great morning, would only have been better if Kyle had been there with us.
