We came back home in time for my parents to come visit. (My dad has been doing some work down here and the company paid them to visit us.) We tried taking them to the best local places we’d heard of and failed miserably at Roberto’s. It may have been partially due to the fact the we tried taking the boys just before bedtime and partially because we had such high expectations. Regardless it wasn’t that great. Then we took them to the Cabin in Gonzales and we justly rewarded. They have great Cajun food and directed us to a little tourist shopping center a couple miles further down the road. There were even alligators in a lake behind the shops.
We also had our first and second experiences with the DMV. We figured we’d make use of my parents and have them keep the kids while we waited to get new licenses and register our cars. After standing in line 45 minutes we discovered we needed more identification to get licenses and titles for the cars to register them. Kyle went ahead and went to work while I drove home and got my birth certificate then went back and waited another hour to get my license. We are still waiting for our lean holder to send the lean on the Acura. Once we have that, Kyle will go back (hopefully Monday) and get his license and pay the anticipated $2000 to register the cars. Hopefully all our additional expenses from moving will be done after that and we can start getting on a regular budget.
The mall has a Mommy and Me day once a week. We went for free carousel rides and face painting. It was a lot of fun and a great chance for me and the kids to visit with friends.
I also went and saw Eclipse. It definitely won’t win any awards but something about Twilight just makes me happy.
We have the house in order enough that we are having people over for dinner. We still need to hang pictures and organize the garage—but we are getting there. It is starting to feel like home.

I agree with you on Twilight making you happy! Have your read "The Hunger Games" yet? My friend likes them better than Twilight but I don't think they're the type of books you can compare.
I agree...your line about Twilight sums it up perfectly! It definitely makes me happy.
